2018 Litter Trashes Everyone Art Contest Now Open

Columbia, SC (October 2017) – PalmettoPride’s annual Litter Trashes Everyone Art Contest is open now to all South Carolina Elementary schools.

The art contest is an opportunity for students to learn about their environment and showcase their artistic talents. PalmettoPride has put together a packaged-program with everything a teacher needs to bring this program to their school or classroom, including drawing paper, litter facts and return envelopes to submit the student entries. One entry per school will be accepted.

State and regional prizes available including cash prizes for the state winner and their school as well as having your design on the volunteer t-shirts for the year.

“I was so excited when Sarah won the contest in 2013. The boys and girls loved all the t-shirts they received and were excited about all the new art supplies purchased with the prize money, said Elizabeth Teeters, teacher at Byrd Elementary School.

All entries must be postmarked by February 16, 2018, for consideration. For more information about the contest please visit the website or contact Jessica Albert at jalbert@palmettopride.org.

“I especially love that every school winner’s art entry is framed and each participating student receives a certificate of participation”, Teeters said. “We all won and everyone benefited from the contest.”
