What different kinds of litter can be found in our environment?

How can it cause harm to people and animals?

PalmettoPride Litter Kids Club increases children’s awareness of different kinds of debris in our environment and how they can make an impact in their community.

Families and organizations serving kids ages 6 – 13  are invited to take greater ownership and pride in their local environment while learning about environmental issues and exploring the outdoors. Our Litter Kids Club gives children a voice in planning and carrying out projects while having fun:

• Participants identify local areas in need of cleanup

• Kids and adults complete a Litter Pickup

• The family or sponsoring organization submits a Cleanup Report Card

Keeping our communities clean from litter helps to beautify our neighborhoods and ensure that trash doesn’t end up along roadways and in waterways. After completing the registration form, participants will receive a t-shirt and cleanup kit. Adult supervision required.
