Enter Today: New Palmetto Patriot’s Pickup
Columbia, SC – Do you have Palmetto pride? Then this new litter pickup challenge is for you. PalmettoPride is challenging every South Carolinian to complete the Palmetto Patriot’s Pickup, a 21-mile litter pickup from Independence Day through Veteran’s Day, July 4 through November 11, 2018.
“PalmettoPride has worked with our military bases and ROTC groups for years. This new challenge seeks to bring awareness to the litter in our beautiful state, while supporting our military community,” said Sarah Lyles, Executive Director of PalmettoPride.
The goal of the Palmetto Patriot’s Pickup is to complete 21 miles of litter pickup in support of current and former military members and their families, showing pride for your community and state between the Fourth of July and Veteran’s Day. Enter as an individual or assemble a team. You can choose your miles, whether it is 21 consecutive miles or one mile, 21 times. Track your miles every day or week on the form you receive after sign up. Share photos of your cleanups as you go by tagging @PalmettoPride. Supplies will be provided by PalmettoPride for the cleanups upon request.
The first 21 individual or team leaders to complete the challenge will receive a custom Rugged American Flag and be entered for a grand prize drawing to be awarded in November. Your 21 miles must be completed and submitted by November 11 to be entered to win.
