Each year, on the first Saturday in February, volunteers from across South Carolina come together in Huger to take part in the annual Francis Marion National Forest Cleanup—an effort to protect one of our state’s two national forests. Thousands of visitors enjoy the forest’s trails, waterways, and outdoor recreation each year, making it a treasured part of South Carolina’s natural and economic landscape.

Since 2006, PalmettoPride has led this annual cleanup to keep the forest and surrounding highways free from litter and debris. Join us on Saturday, February 7, 2025, and help make this the most successful cleanup yet! Pre-registration is required to ensure volunteers receive supplies. Details about supply pickup will be shared as the event approaches. For questions, contact Joseph Berry, PalmettoPride KSCB Affiliate Services & Special Projects Manager, at jberry@palmettopride.org.
