On July 2, Charleston Creative Current and Surfrider Foundation are teaming up to repaint the boat with messages that encourage beach cleanups and ocean care. There’s a litter sweep at 6 p.m., followed by painting at 7, using only water-based, eco-friendly spray paint. It’s all about turning art into action — and the community is invited. The Folly Beach Graffiti Boat is located at Folly Road, on the marsh beside the Harris Teeter, between Bowens Island Road and Folly Road. Specifically, it sits adjacent to The Barrel bar on Folly Road, on the south side of the property.
