Spartanburg County is hosting a Community Clean-Up Event on Friday, September 29th and Saturday, September 30th from 8 AM-3 PM at 199 Gowens Rd. in Spartanburg (near the Stone Station recycling center, off of Hwy. 56).

Any County resident, including City of Spartanburg residents, may take advantage of this convenient and FREE disposal opportunity!

Items accepted include: yard debris (brush/leaves/limbs), construction & demolition debris, furniture, scrap metal & appliances, electronics, tires (up to 5 per household), and NEW this year: BATTERIES (including lithium, lithium-ion, nickel-cadmium, and more)!

Did you know that lithium batteries are a hazardous product and are not accepted for waste disposal in your City trash or recycling roll carts? Disposal options are limited throughout Spartanburg County, so be sure to take advantage of community disposal events like this one to ensure proper recycling or disposal of regulated materials!
