Eligibility
Litter control organizations, beautification groups, government organizations, schools. neighborhood associations and nonprofit organizations in South Carolina are eligible to apply for these trees.
Requirements
The recipient of this grant must plant the donated trees on public spaces (i.e. town/neighborhood entryways, parks, schools, churches) accessible to all citizens.
All grantees are required to register a cleanup event as part of the SC Sweep in March. Additionally, grantees must submit both the SC Sweep Results report and a Final Summary report.
Trees
All trees are between two and six feet in height, 1-1.5 inch in diameter and are five gallon nursery pots. Award recipients will be required to pick up the awarded trees from the SC Dept. of Correctional Horticulture Facility, located at 4444 Broad River Road, Columbia 29210 on October 15, 2026.
