Our primary goal is to engage citizens to take responsibility for litter prevention, but our experience has taught us that we need our elected officials to support our initiatives, support litter-pickup infrastructure, and support law enforcement efforts. We have helped more than 764,923 volunteers remove 90,412,918 pounds of litter from our roads and natural areas. With your support, we can continue to make a difference in South Carolina.

The Next Generation of a Litter-Free SC

Roman Phillips, one of PalmettoPride’s first Youth Ambassadors, spoke on the importance of community cleanups at the 2023 Zero Tolerance for Litter press conference.

In 2020, Roman began a group to clean areas around Fort Mill High School’s campus. Since then, Roman and his group have collected over 18,000 pounds of trash from Fort Mill communities and surrounding wooded areas.
