PalmettoPride’s 2025 Annual Report

For nearly 30 years, South Carolinians like you have shown up for the places we all love. Together, more than 800,000 volunteers have removed nearly 100 million pounds of litter from our communities—and in 2025, tens of thousands of you continued that powerful tradition by giving your time and energy to cleanups across the state. 

PalmettoPride collects litter data from grantees, cleanups in South Carolina’s national forests, Adopt-A-Highway groups, and statewide efforts like SC Sweep and the Great American Cleanup. Every volunteer hour invested in litter removal helps strengthen communities by reducing cleanup costs and allowing resources to be redirected to other local priorities. 

Every bag of litter you pick up makes a difference. Your efforts save taxpayer dollars, reduce the need for ongoing roadside cleanups, keep trash out of our rivers and streams, and help create safer, more welcoming communities for everyone who calls South Carolina home. PalmettoPride’s work is only possible because of volunteers who care deeply about this state and the natural beauty that defines it. South Carolina is too good to be trashed, and thanks to you, it’s a little cleaner and brighter every day.
