Working together for a litter-free SC
PalmettoPride is calling on groups of all sizes to join the SC Sweep fun! Need a hand with planning? No worries, we’ve got everything you need—logistics, supplies, you name it! Just pick a spot to clean up between March 21–29. Whether it’s a park, a roadway, or your neighborhood, every bit of effort counts.

Invite your members, community, and local volunteers to join the cleanup. Share your event on social media, in newsletters, and with local media to encourage participation. If you already have a litter cleanup planned during this campaign, consider co-branding it as an SC Sweep event! Litter is a big problem, but when we work together, we can make a difference. You can request supplies here. Please only register your event once.

Other ways to get involved
Even if you’re not hosting an event, you can still encourage your friends, family, and community to get involved.
- Encourage individual cleanups: Ask members of your community to sign the PalmettoPledge to pick up litter or join a cleanup anytime between March 21–29.
- Share cleanup opportunities: Promote other SC Sweep events happening nearby.
- Spread the word: Post about the SC Sweep on social media and encourage followers to tag @palmettopridekscb and use #SCSweep to share their efforts. We’ve assembled a toolkit with social media posts to help.
